spring clean-up
Thanks to all who helped Sunday,
June 1, 2008, at the dog run work day. We spread a half-ton of crushed
bluestone, filled in holes, fixed fences, and cleaned around the roots
of the trees and hedges.
off-leash rules
On May 10, 2007, the New York City Parks Department launched a
newly clarified Off-Leash Policy formalizing off-leash privileges in
designated areas from 9 p.m. until parks close, and from opening until 9
a.m. (Of course, well-socialized, healthy, licensed dogs are welcome in
dog runs at all times when parks are open.)

Get involved with your dog run!
We are looking for people to keep on top of
ongoing maintenance, organize events, refill the doggy doo bag
dispensers, keep the bulletin board up to date, and raise money for
ongoing upkeep and improvements. Committees are now forming for
maintenance of the run, caring for the hedges and other flora around the
run, behavior and safety, events, fund raising, and signs.
